It’s the era of the Millennials – who love to party hard,
enjoy culinary cuisines and flaunt their escapades on social media networks. Very
few Mumbai cafes fit the bill to perfection and SUGAR DADDY, the latest
entrant in Bandra opens the doors with lots of glam, glitz and panache for the Gen

WHAT’S HOT IN MUMBAI RECOMMENDS ‘SUGAR DADDY’ – since it evokes not just a sizzling
ambience but also a titillating menu to match. The positive aura, feel-good
energies that this café exudes will surely match the sensibilities of the
younger generation. The menu curation is perfectly styled with dishes which go
perfectly with the likes for the Millennials.
The décor:
Inspired by the various ‘plush pink’ interior Cafes in Dubai,
SUGAR DADDY adds some new dimensions with major nooks and corners which could
be utilized for the selfie-crazy young generation. The dining area is spacious
enough to accommodate around 50 diners at one go. The seating area is loaded
with plush, cushy sofas and creative, comfortable chairs.
The menu:
As earlier mentioned, the menu is in sync with the Millennial
choices. Pizzas, burgers, pastas, salads and some crazy desserts and mocktails
are colour loaded. The spice quotient and flavour punches are evident and strike
that tingling note of a successful menu curation.

What we tried:
Starters:
Avocado Quinoa Salad – The normal expectation of blending avocado
with quinoa to be a bland one was side-lined the moment we took our first bite.
The creamy avocado base had the rich texture, mingled with the tangy punch which
made the salad an enjoyable start.
Charcoal Nachos – A supreme choice, with multiple layering of dips and flavours. The Chef has creatively balanced the salsa portion to perfection, the nachos don’t get soggy, neither too overloaded. The flavours are amazing. The charcoal look is appealing enough to eat, that’s where the perfection levels are note-worthy.

Mocktails:
Coco Mango blast – Rich and creamy, but almost on par with
any other mango milk shake. This mocktail needs that zing punch to make it a
different one.
Pitaya Surprise – A passion fruit mocktail that is creatively topped. Perfect punch and flavours – a winner for sure.
Main course:
Greek Goddess Pizza – The crispiest crust, crunchy veggies were
a standout. The pizza base had an extremely limited tomato base which somehow didn’t
add up to the tanginess one expects from pizzas. However, the polka dot splashes
of mayo and garlic mayo added a difference to the entire flavours of the pizza.
Overall, a decent one – somehow the sizzle was missing.
Dessert:
Indian Masala Tea Tres leche – We opted for this one for its
uniqueness. The concept is surely good, but we found that the masala tea leche
syrup was a watered-down version which didn’t escalate the power of the
ultimate kick one should get from the flavours. The thickness and the richness
feeling required for this dessert were missing. Overall a unique one which could
be a hot-seller if perfectly curated.
The service:
Even on a weekday afternoon, the café had quite a few lovey-dovey
couples on dates enjoying the food and the ambience. The service was quick and
always out to please. A special mention to the team which ensured to keep us
happy – Ms. Chaitali and Mr. Ajit – a thank you for the perfect
afternoon meal.
Surely coming back again to savor the rest of the menu!
