Sofitel Mumbai BKC has always enamored, enchanted and enthralled us with their magnanimous Food Festivals. Not wanting to miss out on the action, WHAT’S HOT IN MUMBAI chose to explore their latest ‘Kaptivating Koli,’ Food Festival at Pondichery Café.


 

You will be bewitched with the humongous array of seafood delights, the lavish spread and options for vegetarians too. Chef Harsha Tapke,  who has been a part of the team that founded the Koli Seafood Festival back in 2005 has unfurled a tantalizing and heavenly menu which would surely want you to lick your fingers. What we loved were the rustic flavors from the Koli cuisine, the glorious motley of scintillating spice flavors which created magical notes and of course the freshest catch of the day. 


WHAT’S HOT IN MUMBAI VERDICT:

Hats off to Sofitel Mumbai BKC for choosing Chef Harsha Tapke, who has been the Torchbearer for promoting Mumbai Koli Cuisine and making it a household name. Our small tasting portions included the stuffed pomfret (which had a perfectly bedded masala base), juicy prawns, the mains included rawas, mori fish and more. Each gravy had overtones of slurpy moments which subdued the spice quotient with the traditional Bhakari. The sweet treats like Ukadiche Modak and more were celestially delectable.
